Yuquiyú is hidden in the foothills of Puerto Rico’s El Yunque rainforest, revered as a sacred site for over a thousand years by the prehistoric Taino natives. Named in honor of their god of light and life, our rustic retreat is a place to reawaken the senses in harmony with nature. Kindly click on following link to find us on Google Maps.

Yuquiyú is meat free (from any kind of animal, including mammals, fish, fowl and others). We ask guests to observe that principle by not bringing any meat onto the property (restaurants offering a variety of cuisines are close by).
We smoke free everywhere on the property except in the parking area.

Once you exit right at the end of Highway 66 (A), turn right at the first traffic light onto Road 186 (B). Continue uphill to the Km 25.3 marker, then take a left, following the sign to El Yunque National Forest. At this point, refer to the detail map, below.

Once you’ve turned left at the “El Yunque National Forest” sign. You will be going downhill and cross a low, concrete bridge over the Espíritu Santo river. From the bridge, continue uphill for about two blocks, where you see on the right-hand side of the road a Km 1.2 marker and, on the left, a small sign that says “La Pirámide”. Turn left onto La Pirámide, go right and then go right again. Before long, you will come to a sharp turn and begin to climb the hill on which Yuquiyú is located. Once you reach the top, you will see a green gate and the Yuquiyú sign. Park in the flat, grassy area immediately beyond the sign. Our office is located down the gravel driveway located between the green gate and the sign. The office is the first structure you will encounter and is identified as “El Mirador”. To save a trip back uphill, you may wish to bring your baggage down with you.
