YUQUIYU HAS PURE MOUNTAIN WATER AND ELECTRICITY

The photos on this page show conditions after 100 days of clearing fallen debris, making minor repairs and continuing new construction

Before you make your booking at Yuquiyu, we would like to explain the current condition of our property after Hurricane Maria. We have pure mountain water and electricity. We have cell phone service but will not have Internet access until about 1 April.. Regarding excursions, the main part of El Yunque National Forest is open only up to La Coca Falls. Normally 18 minutes away, due to a road closure, it is currently 30 minutes from Yuquiyu. To the west, the Rio Espiritu Santo Waterfall is open, It is 16 minutes from the property. For excursions outside of the rainforest, we recommend that you review What Can I Do? The beaches, bioluminescent lagoon and Old San Juan are open. Most tours are operating normally. For availability, please contact the operators directly. There is new construction of two, new artisan-crafted treehouses taking place on the property, but the work is not close to the guest treehouses and is being done by hand, so not excessively noisy. Work occurs from approximately 8 am to 3 pm and only on weekdays. Down by the river, it is as peaceful as ever. And the night is tranquil with only the sounds of the river and coquis. We thank you for supporting Puerto Rico through tourism.
